test shown that only Ballistic Skill (BS) affects unit:

  • Reload speed (or rate of fire)
  • Accuracy (or chance that missile will hit the target)

Other unit characteristic do not affect these or any other parameters of ranged mechanic

tests shown that unit reload process has two phases: 1. Unit aiming before releasing missiles, 2. Unit reloading. BS char affects them both in terms of its duration time. The more BS value the less time unit needs for these phases.
