Steady

Steady is a default state of a unit at the beginning of each battle or when unit is being charged by enemy and fighting in melee. Unit is controllable by Player and can fight and follow orders as usual.

Steady state has also 4 sub-states when unit is partially controllable or uncontrollable at all:

  • in melee - player can only give retreat order
  • being charged - player can only give retreat order
  • charging - unit is uncontrollable
  • chasing fleeing enemy - unit is uncontrollable

If unit fails Ld test and|or issued retreat order it state changes to fleeing.

When unit is fleeing it still has a chance to rally and become steady again.
